Wallis Laughrey

Organization: Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems

Title: Vice President of Space Systems

Bio: Wallis Laughrey is vice president of Space Systems, a mission area within Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems. A member of the SAS leadership team, he oversees all Space Systems programs, developing the organization’s vision, strategy and plans. Space Systems is a global leader for space-enabled information solutions for defense, civil and commercial applications. Key technologies include electro-optical, infrared and radar-based payloads systems. Programs include the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite, Space Tracking and Surveillance System sensors, advanced missile warning technology and various classified efforts.

Mr. Laughrey earned a bachelor’s degree from the United States Air Force Academy, master’s degrees in public administration and product development engineering from the University of Colorado and the University of Southern California, respectively. He has also earned a certificate in advanced project management from Stanford University.

John Garvey

Organization: Vector

Title: Co-Founder and President, Launch Services

Bio: John is a 30 year space veteran who was deeply involved with the early development of SpaceX, has developed launch vehicles and launch operations for the McDonnell Douglas Delta III and Delta IV, the DCX-A single stage to orbit vehicle for BMDO, Sea Launch and micro satellite launch vehicles for Garvey Spacecraft Corporation. John has extensive experience in the development of propulsion systems and launch vehicles and has worked with AFRL, DARPA, NASA and numerous commercial space enterprises.
