Indian Rocket Successfully Deploys Two University CubeSats

On Sunday, July 11, 2010 at 03:52 GMT (8:52 am PST), the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) lifted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Center on India’s east coast (http://www.spaceflightnow.com/news/n1007/12pslv/). The PSLV successfully deployed its primary payloads as well as two student-built CubeSats: TIsat 1 and Studsat. TIsat 1 is a Swiss satellite designed and built by the students and staff of SUPSI-DTI (http://www.spacelab.dti.supsi.ch/tiSat1.html). StudSat was designed and built by undergraduate students from across India with support from ISRO (http://www.teamstudsat.com/).
